Question: What materials are available for The Business Case for Breastfeeding, and how do I order them?

Answer: The Business Case for Breastfeeding is a comprehensive Resource Kit. You can order the kit and selected components of it by calling 1-888-Ask-HRSA or by visiting www.ask.hrsa.gov. You can also order the following components from the kit individually: "Easy Steps to Supporting Breastfeeding Employees" (Booklet); "Employees Guide to Breastfeeding and Working" (Booklet); "Steps to Creating a Breastfeeding Friendly Worksite for HR Managers" (Pamphlet).

Question: How can I (or my organization) sign up to receive the train the trainer program?

Answer: The train the trainer program is being offered nationally through the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, and is being conducted by HCD International. Each year a set number of State Breastfeeding Coalitions, Local Breastfeeding Coalitions, and/or Healthy Start organizations will be selected to receive this training. For the latest information on applying to receive the training, please contact the HCDI Project Manger Tiffany Pertillar.

Once they have received the initial training, many of these coalitions and organizations will also offer the program on a local level. We suggest that you contact your State or Local Breastfeeding Coalition, or a Healthy Start agency in your area to see if they are offering the program. For a list of State Breastfeeding Coalitions, click here. For a list of Healthy Start organizations, click here and then click on "Directory".

Question: Is the poster file available for reproduction?

Answer: Yes! The poster that is contained in the "Tool Kit" portion of The Business Case for Breastfeeding Resource Kit has been modified and is available here as a PDF. Please note that it has also been scaled down to fit on a standard sheet of paper (8.5 X 11).
